Handmade Jewelry Findings

Handmade Silver Filled Ear Wire Sample Pack
My artisan handmade jewelry findings and supplies are growing by the day!  By customer requests, I've added several packages that include a variety of ear wires in Silver Filled, Copper, Sterling Silver and 14k Gold Filled - like my Silver Filled Large Ear Wire package above that includes one of my original design Signature Kite ear wires.

Handmade Copper Jewelry Findings
I also offer my handmade jewelry finding sample packs in different metals that contain a variety of headpins, twist n wraps, eye links and jump rings.

Interchangeable Ear Wires, Silver Filled Spiral French

If you like interchangeable style earring wires, I have several designs in Copper, Sterling Silver, 14k Gold Filled and Silver Filled - like my Spiral French above.

And to make your handmade ear wires a little more creative, try my Silver Filled Swirl Headpins - which I also make in other metals and finishes.

I create a large variety of my handmade to order jewelry findings in my Etsy shop and also on Artfire.

Gorgeous Gold Kites and more

Besides being crazy busy, I've been on a creating streak lately... all inspired by my original Signature Kites as in this blog posting long ago: Awe, Go Fly A Kite.

Above are my new and original Diamond Kite earrings in 14k Gold Filled. I'll also be making them in other metals. I must admit that I was pretty excited while creating these - just love'em!

My Kurly Kites are not new as I've been making them for a while in other metals, but they are now available in 14k Gold Filled as well. They look awesome in gold!

Awe yes, another Kurly Kite! But alas, these are made in a heavier 18 gauge wire for those who have larger piercings.

Another new member to the Signature Kite series: Geometric Kites! The design in this pair allows you to wear them as artistic earrings or use as a base wire and create to your hearts content!

No, these are not Kites, but there is a pair in it :) I wanted to offer a sampling of just a taste of my metalwork, so I call this package my Studio Sampler. This package has a variety of findings for you to create with and includes a little discount, but the major discount is in the shipping costs.

Well, this is what I've been up to lately - and then some! Hope everyone has a fabulous Monday!

Go fly a kite... or at least wear one!

Just a few tidbits

I have so much that I want to blog about, but not enough time right now. It's so nice having Jeremy home! He's still here, but is now staying over at my sister's house, Laura, spending time with his nephews and everyone. He's making the rounds until he has to head back to Portland next week.

So, just a few tidbits to fill my lonesome blog until next week. Above and below are my new Slide n Go Interchangeable Ear Wires.

Below are my very cool Big Loop Wild West Earring/Ear Wires. One of my customers wanted a bigger loop than my standard Wild West and, yes, you know it. I loved them so much that I just had to make a pair for myself AND add them to my shop. One in Sterling Silver:

And one in 14k Gold Filled of course: Big Gold Loop Wild West

Tonight we're going to Corbin's graduation, my nephew/Laura's oldest son. It is an outdoor ceremony at the stadium, but it may be changed to another venue because we're due for thundershowers today & tonight. Guess we'll find out shortly.

My wrists are healing quite well. I think I simply over worked them far too long and have now changed the way I do things. The doctors office called yesterday to have me start therapy - no can do. I don't have the time to spare, plus I don't want to spend $35 a pop 3x per week when I can do it at home for free. I'm juuuuust fine :)

I'm off like a prom dress. Time to make the donuts. Time to get this party started. I'm heading out like a baby. Too much coffee perhaps? ;)

Happy day everyone!

A fun start to my weekend!

See that huge happy smile on the cute clown? Mine is like that right now. In fact, it may be permanent - or at least for a few days. Sure makes it hard to sip coffee like this.

This morning I woke up to my 2000th sale! Wow! I'm deeply touched and over joyed with how well my shop is doing. Although it keeps me quite busy, to say the least, I truly love what I do with all my heart.

That's not all. I also received a message that I was in a fun and awesome Treasury titled: "I love balls" - you've got to see it! I would post a pic of it, but I've never figured out how to do a screen shot - even though I've been told a million times, it doesn't work for me - doh!

I'm also excited about adding more 14k Gold Filled findings, like my new clasps below that I offer with and without the eye link (I'll have more styles added soon!)

That's all for now as I need to go get a napkin to clean up my coffee dribbles.

Hope you all enjoy the weekend!

Thar's gold in them hills

Gold Rush - Wild West Series

I was going to blog about a funny/scary little thing that happened to me the other day, but I'll save that for next one as I need to get into the studio.

As you can see, I've been on a gold streak. I've added several more 14k Gold Filled findings to my shop - and there is more to come soon!

Small Organic Wrapped Hook & Eye Clasp

Wire Wrapped Twisted Bail

I'm now making wire wrapped bails. I have more designs on paper and in my head, but there is only so much time in a day and I'm STILL searching Etsy for a shop that sells TIME!

That's it. Just a short & sweet ... okay, shameless little plug, what can I say?

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Just a quickie...

Yes, I said a quickie - as in a post (yes, I hear those of you saying, "Rocki? A quickie without getting wordy? Riiiiiiiight"). I'm just too exited to wait and want to share my newest additions like the ones above: Oxidized Fine Silver Headpins! I've been working on getting these oxidized just right (as I like them to be anyway) and am quite pleased with how they turned out - even more so with the photos (not my favorite thing to do (folds arms and shakes head no-no-no-no...)

I'll be adding the above later tonight or tomorrow morning. These are my Long Ovals that I already offer in my shop in Sterling Silver, but now they are also available in 14K Gold Filled!

Alas, my Elongated Squovals are now also available in 14K Gold Filled - per Laura's request. Yes Laura, I finally did it (happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you... :)

Well, that's it. My quickie post. Now I'm off to make supper then watch the new Journey to the Center of the Earth - in 3-D!

Happiness to all,

♥ Rocki

The Golden Ticket!

Have you ever seen the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" - the original one? I'm sure most of us have seen it at least once, after all, it is a classic.

I remember each time when Charlie bought a chocolate bar and while he was opening it up, I felt as if I were right there with him - waiting to see the Golden Ticket! Each time I felt Charlie's sadness and pain when it was just a piece of chocolate. Okay, it made my eyes wet too.

Charlie, who did not have money to spend, found a coin and was able to buy one more bar. The anticipation on his face and the determination in his opening process was far too much for me to bare. I was on the edge of my seat. I tried to hurry him up, but he couldn't hear me. Then there was the long pause... and with one final whoosh of pulling the paper back, there it was! The Golden Ticket! I felt the joy right along side Charlie and cried happy tears.

This is how I felt after creating my new Golden Elfin Earwires! I just love them to pieces and owe many thanks to one of my buyers who asked me about creating in gold filled wire. She will be getting a special surprise when I mail her package tomorrow :)

I posted my Golden Elfin earwires & my Golden Hoops this morning. I have more to create with gold and, just like Charlie, am off to the Chocolate Factory.

Happy Friday everyone!

Gold Digger

No, I'm not a gold digger, but I do dig gold.

Up until I started working with Sterling Silver all I wore was gold jewelry. However, I've always worn silver with my blue jeans because they look so darn hot together. Anyway, over the last year or so I've added more and more silver to my jewelry case. Funny, but the last time I put a piece in the case I could have SWORN I heard one of the gold pieces make a snide comment to the others about me, but that could have just been my wild imagination, right?

So what does this mean? Well, I'm excited to say that by Friday of next week I will have handcrafted 14K Gold Filled earwires in my shop! Whoo hoo!

Yep. I can hardly wait to see what my Signature Elfin earwires look like in gold! My Silver Leaf earwires will look so lovely, but of course they will be called Gold Leaf. Oh and the Hoops and the Leafettes and the... this is going to be fun!

Oh, and I heard rumors from my jewelry case that the silver will strike if I pay too much attention to the gold.

Dig it!
