Busy as a BEE!

Yep, I'm still around, just been busier than a one winged bee is all. So, for today just thought I would do a quick post to say HELLO EVERYONE and to show you the view from our bedroom door. Our little piece of solitude we call our Tropical Desert Island - our backyard.

Go ahead, jump in, but no running around the deck, keep the swimsuits on and have fun. I hope to be out there later today.

This weekend was a VERY busy one for me as I ended up working all weekend. Plus my shop exploded with sales so it looks like I'll be busy until the cows come home. Have you seen them yet?

Breath in, breath out

Ever have one of those days, weeks, months... in which it feels there is no end in sight? You know, eating the BIG burrito at once instead of taking one bite at a time? Well, that is how this week + is for me.

All I need to do is pull out my hair and... scratch that. I mean pull out all my scattered thoughts, take it one moment at a time and enjoy the ride. I've been real good about doing this for a long time now. Oh, not pulling my hair out, about taking it moment by moment.

However, I am human and prone to little freak-outs now and again. So I'm reaching deep down inside, will breath in, breath out, and take one tiny bite at a time.

Dear Santa

Santa baby, I know that you are REAL busy at this time of year, as always, but I have a few little requests. Well, actually it's my "wish list", if you please.

Dear Santa,

I've been a very good girl all year. Okay, except the few times when the "other woman" came out, but that only happens once or twice a year, so please give me a break. Besides, I have NO control over her.

This past year I've worked very hard to build my business PLUS try to keep up with the house stuff like cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, ironing, dog present patrol... okay, so I'm slacking in that department, but again, give me a break on this too.

Now that the holidays are approaching, quite quickly I might add, I find myself running out of time. So, below is all I ask for:

1. Peace on earth, loving kindness and compassion for all beings
2. More time
3. Chef (must cook a wheat/dairy free & vegan diets, plus whatever Mark wants)
4. Live in housekeeper (not too cute please, unless it's a guy ;)
5. Landscaper (my dad's too busy to pop over here)
6. More time
7. Assistant (must be familiar with all aspects of Etsy & Excel Spreadsheets)
8. Massage Therapist (see #2)
9. More time
10. Another me (so I can work faster than I already do)
11. Sleep through the night (every night please)
12. Personal shopper (I wasn't born with the shopping gene)

Santa baby, I will be on my very best behavior if you could fill this tiny little list. Oh, and in case I didn't mention it, more time would be very nice.

Tidbits

It's that busy time of year again and right now all I have time to blog about right now is a few tidbits:

I had another ortho adjustment yesterday. Still have to wear the lovely biteblock, but that's okay. It's just that it's a bit difficult to eat and I sound like Marlon Brando in The GodFather.

We're getting a new living room couch, loveseat and recliner delivered this week (pictures will be posted later this week). This is our gift to each other this year, so there won't be any presents for us to unwrap under the adorable artificial 3' tree we bought. This is perfectly fine with us as we are perfectly content with what we have and now only need to get the kids their gifts.

This weekend was crazy busy for me, but very rewarding. I'm so very thankful to my customers! I'll be in my studio the rest of this week and the next and the next...

We watched the movie "Pay if Forward" the other night. We hadn't seen it before and even though it was a very good movie, I don't think I'll ever watch it again. If you have not seen it, then I won't say much more other than - tissues!

I need to get my day started. Oh! If you haven't seen Wall-E yet, you MUST! It is the cutest movie ever! It's funny how a movie like this can have such powerful messages. EEEEEEva ;)

Where's THE Rock?

Wow. I never knew I was so popular (blushes). I've had several requests via email and my (uh hem) previous blog post, to come out and play and stop hiding. Trust me, I'm not hiding actually, I've just been extremely busy with multiple orders from my supply shop. Oh and I'm not complaining one little bit mind you, so please do not think I'm being ungrateful, as this is not the case. It is just that I'm rather buried in orders so I cannot come out to play this week.

So, with that said, where IS the Rock? Obviously that is not me above, but it is a very cool pic I found on the web and since I LOVE rocks, I had to use it for this post. Besides, the rocks are balanced on one another and that is exactly what I'm trying to do - find my balance.

Ooooh. No, this is not me either. It is The Rock; Dwayne Douglas Johnson. Former wrestler, talented actor and one hot dude (sorry honey, you're hot too though :) There is also Rock Hudson (one of my favorite long time actors with Doris Day!), Chris Rock, Kid Rock and others.

Nope. Not me either, but is a very cool movie! This would be the School of Rock starring Jack Black, obviously. The kids in the movie actually do play their own instruments and they are amazingly talented. If you love music, this is a must see movie. There is also The Rock with Sean Connery (mmmm), Rundown (has The Rock in it) and others that I just can't think of at the moment.

So where IS Rocki anyway, as I've been asked. After having my morning coffee, breakfast and doing other little tasks to get ready for the day, you can find me in my studio until evening. In fact, if you look reeeeeeeal close, you'll find me below:

Did you find me? It's kind of hard, but I bet you can do it! Good job - you did it! So now that you know where I am, please do not think I have not forgotten about you, it's just that I'm terribly busy and need to focus on my orders this week. I do plan on checking out all your blogs in the next few days. In the meantime, please know that you're in my thoughts.

Holy squirrels Batman! I have been FAR too busy... busy as a bee in fact! The one thing that I try NOT to do is over scheduled myself and yet I did. Life happens.

So what have I been up to? Do you REALLY want me to list everything? Do you have that much time on your hands right now? I didn't think so. Lets just say that I feel like I'm on the receiving end of POW!

My apologies to all my buddies for not visiting your blogs this week :( however I will surely try to do so in a couple days. Tomorrow I take Danny to chemo, so I won't be home all day and then Friday is the opening (fingers crossed) of my second Etsy shop. Oh, minor little detail here. I'll blog more about that one next Monday, but here's a little hint: handcrafted metal supplies.

Okay, need to get my butt in gear and start my day. Thanks for your understanding and I appreciate you all!
